The Lost Trades

Tomorrow Bird

Being rescheduled:
Thu 30 Nov, 7:45pm
Leconfield Hall, £15

The Lost Trades are singer-songwriters Jamie Hawkins, Phil Cooper, and Tamsin Quin. The last time they came to Petworth, there was an electrical storm and a power cut, and they gave us a fantastic acoustic performance. Now they’re back by popular demand, and we'll let them use the sound system.

Brought together by their love of contemporary folk and roots music, the Lost Trades joined forces in 2019 to create a sound reminiscent of the California folk scene of the late 60s/early 70s. The Lost Trades’ music includes flawless vocal harmonies, accompanied by an array of stringed instruments and light percussion.

Brilliant folk and roots harmony trio with a cool Laurel Canyon vibe

During live performances, the three musicians create a fun and engaging atmosphere, joking and switching instruments with each other, and making the audience feel like they’re part of the gang.

Their debut album, ‘The Bird, The Book & The Barrel’, spent 8 months in the Official UK Folk Albums Chart. The band’s following album, ‘Petrichor’, released in March 2023, features thought-provoking lyrics and captivating vocals. Petrichor matched its predecessor’s success, entering the Official UK Folk Albums Chart at #31.

Tomorrow Bird are multi-award winning acoustic duo Jen Bird and Simon Driscoll, whose songs are a passionate ode to the human experience. Their music touches on the themes of hope, love, loss, courage and empowerment, and features rich vocals and harmonies to create a series of poignant stories. Tomorrow Bird’s style is influenced by that of folk, country and Americana; their combination of haunting melodies and heart-felt lyrics lures the audience in.
