Born in the USA to a Ugandan father and White British mother and raised in the South West of England, multi-instrumentalist songwriter and producer Lawi Anywar's identity, in music and reality, is an exploration of duality, pluralism, and in-between spaces. 

Sonically influenced as much by Grace Jones as Godspeed You! Black Emperor, as much Steve Reich as Sade, and as much The Mars Volta as Bad Brains, Anywar's music exists in a groove driven common ground between funk, psychedelia and shoegaze. 

Anywar is joined live by luminaries of Bristol's experimental and jazz scenes, who chop, change and charge his groove laden compositions into larger, louder tapestries of shoegaze-tinged indie funk.
