One of the UK’s finest and most entertaining songwriters
For over 30 years Boo Hewerdine has been considered one of the UK's finest singer-songwriters. As lead singer of seminal band, The Bible through to his subsequent solo work and long-time collaboration with the incredible Eddi Reader he has become something of a national treasure. He is in demand as a writer, producer and performer.
Over a hundred of his songs have been covered by the likes of KD Lang, Kris Drever, Chris Difford, Heidi Talbot and Hannah Rarity. His last album ‘Before’ was recorded with supreme Danish multi-instrumentalist Gustaf Ljunggren, garnering multiple five-star reviews.
For this show, Boo will be singing songs from his new album The Garden Of The Singing Trees, his various collaborations and extraordinary back catalogue. A naturally gifted raconteur, his gigs are always a total joy.

& our very own Serious Child
Among Boo Hewerdine’s many credits are the fact that he persuaded Petworth Sessions’ Alan Young aka Serious Child to take up writing and recording songs when he was supporting Boo at a house concert in 2012. For one night only, Alan returns as Boo’s support act, and who knows, they might even do something together?
